Narrativity is now officially a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization!

What does this mean?

Well, for starters, any donations made to the convention after May 28, 2024 may be claimed as deductions on US Federal income tax, and possibly in other jurisdictions as well; check with your tax advisor on how this affects you. (Yes, that does say 2024. Our 501(c)(3) status is retroactive to when we first applied, ’cause the IRS is weird like that.) So if you’ve been kind enough to help support us above and beyond the cost of membership (thank you!), this is a way for us to give a little something back.

It also means that we’ll have more scope for some special projects that have been pending for a while now; more about those as they develop.

It doesn’t change anything about Narrativity’s general operations; we’ll still be full of fun, weasel jokes, and all the writing-craft discussion we can stuff into a weekend!
